Annotation: The article deals with the task of determining the optimal carriage flow at the marshaling yard under the conditions of uneven loading of its elements according to the criterion of the minimum car processing time within the framework of determining the conditions for optimal interaction of station parks to set the value of the traffic flow in conjunction with adjacent sections. Determination of the daily non-uniformity of the number of trains supplied to the station and identification of the percentage of change in traffic volume over the month. Based on the analysis of the average time spent by the car at the station, the model of performance of the marshaling yard has been built, the operations of which are reflected in the graph. The conditions for optimal interaction of the station parks to determine the value of the traffic flow in interaction with the adjacent areas have been revealed.
